Mario Lemina arrived at Southampton as the club’s record signing but has only shown fleeting glimpses of what he can do in his maiden season in English football.
Nonetheless, he possesses the physical attributes, as well as the technical ones – he joined from Juventus and played in last season’s Champions League final – that Premier League teams higher up the table desire.
One of those sides is Arsenal. Mohamed Elneny may have recently signed a new contract and Granit Xhaka is improving but they could still do with more to protect their flaky defence.
