Alan Hutton has announced that he will be leaving Aston Villa when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Hutton has been with Villa since 2011 – making 202 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The 34-year-old struggled with injury in the latter stages of the 2018-19 campaign but still made 34 appearances for Dean Smith’s side in all competitions.
The Scot was not included in either leg of Villa’s Championship playoff semi-final against West Bromwich Albion, though, or the final against Derby County.
Hutton has posted a message on his Instagram account thanking the fans for their support and revealed that he would be leaving Villa Park this summer.
And as expected, that led to a number of the club’s supporters paying tribute to the former Tottenham Hotspur defender, who will now be moving on to the next chapter of his career.
